AMFT, APCC
Much like tending to the roots of a tree supports its ability to grow and thrive, I believe meaningful healing begins by understanding and caring for the deeper roots of our emotional pain and relationship struggles. In therapy, this means looking beyond surface symptoms to explore the underlying patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be contributing to distress, disconnection, or feeling stuck.
I work with individuals and couples to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where these deeper emotions and experiences can safely come into focus. Sometimes we develop ways of coping that once helped us survive, but no longer serve us in the present. Together, we will explore what your emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns may be communicating and what is needed to support healing, growth, and greater connection.
My approach is rooted in psychodynamic, narrative, and emotion-focused therapy. I help clients better understand how past experiences and relational patterns shape their current emotional world while also supporting them in developing new ways of relating to themselves and others. I believe healing happens not by avoiding difficult emotions, but by approaching them with curiosity, compassion, and care.
As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe to show up as their authentic selves. Cultural humility and trauma-informed care are central to my work, and I deeply value understanding the unique experiences, identities, and stories each client brings into the therapy room.
I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), I have experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation, and major life transitions. My work in substance abuse treatment has deepened my understanding of the ways we sometimes learn to disconnect from emotional pain, as well as the healing that can emerge when we begin turning toward ourselves with greater honesty and compassion.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients in their healing process and look forward to supporting you in creating a more connected, meaningful, and authentic life.
