Molly Veera
MA, AMFT
I believe deeply in our innate ability to heal in connection. Each of us wants to feel seen, heard, and understood. I work with clients to explore how mental patterns and behaviors which developed over time may be getting in the way of what they want now. I hold space for greater self-insight and self-compassion, and I help clients move through their fears by meeting obstacles with curiosity rather than judgment.
I work with individuals, couples, and families from a depth-oriented and systems perspective. We are shaped by our upbringing, our cultures, and the world around us, we don't heal in a bubble. Understanding the stressors that impact our wellbeing matters, and so does recognizing the strengths we can draw upon to grow.
Therapy with me is collaborative, and I am continually humbled by what my clients teach me through their lived experience and resilience. I believe we are each the expert on ourselves, and that we all have blind spots. I help clients identify unmet and unexpressed needs, and communicate emotions and boundaries in ways that feel authentic to who they are and what they value.
My commitment to social justice and equity shaped my decision to focus clinically on trauma. My training includes Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), ACT, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness-based interventions. I don't take a one size fits all approach; my goal is to attune to each client and meet them where they are.
I often tell my clients, "There is no TMI in therapy. If not here, where?" Therapy isn't easy, and I encourage clients to challenge themselves. It takes bravery to face our darkest corners, and to discover, in doing so, that we are still worthy of love and acceptance.
