Samantha Tran, MA., ASW

Hi, I’m Samantha.

I’m passionate about helping couples and individuals move through disconnection, burnout, and repeating relational patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My guiding motto is simple: leave people better than I found them. I live that out by supporting clients in rebuilding trust, becoming more emotionally grounded, and navigating life’s transitions with clarity and care. Whether you’re moving through identity shifts, parenting stress, or painful communication cycles, I offer a compassionate space to slow down, reconnect, and move forward with intention.

My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment-Based Therapy. With a trauma-informed lens, I help clients shift from reactive patterns into more empowered responses. Over the years, I’ve seen how tension in the body often carries an untold story, signals of unmet or unexpressed needs. When those core needs are uncovered and voiced, couples and individuals can finally experience deeper, more lasting connection.

Clients often tell me they feel both seen and guided in our work together. My sensitivity allows me to notice and hold space for subtle, complex emotions, while my grounded approach supports clients in turning insight into meaningful change in their daily lives.

Beyond the therapy room, I bring lived experience as a wife, a mother of two young children, and a small business owner. I understand the realities of code-switching, intergenerational expectations, and the juggling act of modern life. Having navigated “two under two” myself, I deeply relate to the overwhelm, shifting identities, and the need for genuine support that many couples and individuals face.

If what you’re carrying feels heavy, whether it’s relationship strain, a major life transition, or inner conflict, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll meet the present moment with care, uncover meaningful insights, and take grounded steps toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are and who you’re becoming.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Administration from New York University.
