Hi! My name is Vicky Tzu-Ning Hsu, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with the loss of love. Relationships are shaped by many factors, including self-esteem, attachment styles, past trauma and wounds, insecurity, communication patterns, and the social and cultural influences surrounding us. My goal is to help you better understand these influences and discover ways of loving and relating that feel authentic and true to you.

My primary modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My approach is collaborative, analytical, and thought-provoking, with an emphasis on empowerment and self-exploration. I create space for clients to explore their identities, values, relationships, and behavioral patterns while recognizing the strengths they already possess.

With Individuals

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and times when they simply no longer feel like themselves. Intersectionality, conflicting identities, cultural expectations, and intergenerational trauma can deeply influence how we understand ourselves and our relationships, yet these experiences are often overlooked in therapy.

My bicultural background and passion for working across diverse communities inform my culturally sensitive approach. Together, we can explore what has shaped you, reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been lost or overlooked, and develop new ways of moving through life that feel more aligned with who you are.

With Couples

Couples often struggle when communication breaks down, unhealthy patterns become entrenched, or important attachment needs go unmet. I help couples understand the deeper emotions and experiences underlying these patterns while developing healthier ways of communicating, connecting, and caring for one another.

Love is complicated, and creating a relationship that feels safe, authentic, and fulfilling for both partners can take intentional work. Together, we explore how past experiences may be influencing present-day beliefs, emotions, and behaviors, while building healthier interaction patterns and strengthening emotional connection.

Ultimately, therapy can help you better understand not only how you relate to others, but also how you relate to yourself. My hope is to help you develop a deeper understanding of your needs, values, and patterns so you can create relationships and a life that feel more authentically yours.

If you are ready to begin this process, I invite you to reach out and schedule a complimentary consultation call. I would be honored to learn more about what brings you to therapy and explore how I may be able to support you.
